I am currently working on these socks for the daughter of one of Luke’s previous playgroup teachers.
I am using this amazing Japanese yarn, which is lovely to work with and my friend gave me two skeins. I am hoping it will be enough.
On a separate not, Luke and I got the most amazing parcel from Melissa over at Knitting Sandwich today.
Some scrumptious yarn for me and a very cool personalised slingshot with ‘pom poms’ as Luke put it.
Thanks so much Melissa!!!!
I am making two cardigans for a friends son. I has originally made a version of this when he was first born and she liked it so much she ordered two of the same.
I totally miscalculated the yarn order for my next project, so instead I am in full bootie production mode. These three pairs are waiting to be sewed up.
Excuse the terrible picture, but this us what I am working on. First wrist warmer/fingerless mitten done.
Yet another vest I am working on, this is the fifth last one, can you believe it?
I have to be honest, I can’t wait to get onto some more interesting knitting.
I have had to put my cardigan from a few WIPW ago on hiatus as I am busy knitting some sample boy vests. I finished one on Monday and am almost done with the second one.
I hope to finish the third on the weekend.
Linking in with Tamis Amis for WIP Wednesday.
I know, I know I am a day late with my WIP Wednesday. I meant to post it yesterday and I had taken the pictures for it, but I got busy seeing a friend for dinner…so didn’t have the time. I know I mentioned that I was going to be knitting something for myself, well here is a sneak preview. I am working on this cardigan for myself.
I am LOVING the colour. I do love the pattern, but it seems to be taking me ages to finish it. It could also be because I am not getting as much time as I used to for knitting. But, I only have the second front to finish and the two sleeves, so with it being a long weekend here in the UK I might get it done.
I also wanted to show you guys my new knitting basket that I got from a friend who moved back to Germany recently. It’s gorgeous, and her grandfather actually made it. And it means that when I have kids here during the day I can just put everything in my basket and put it high up on our shelf.
This is what I have been working on over the last two weeks…they are being picked up by Parcelforce on Friday.
Excuse the fuzzy picture I am posting this from my phone do that I don’t miss a day of Blogtoberfest.
This is how far I’ve gotten to date with my blanket. 16 squares, here are the pictures to prove it:
I’ve actually got something to show you today. I’ve started my biggest project ever, I think. A blanket that I’m knitting as a gift for an upcoming wedding (top secret :-)).
It’s knitted in squares, and in the last three days I’ve managed to knit 3. That was with not much time for knitting, so I actually think that I’ll be able to finish it by the end of August. I’m actually going to be making it bigger than the pattern calls for, but I haven’t quite decided on the finished size, I think I’ll just keep going with the squares until I run out of yarn. It’s quite handy each square uses up one 50g ball of yarn.
So, without further ado, here are the squares I’ve knitted so far.
And here’s the square I’m currently working on.
