A weekly photo of my boys.
A weekly photo of my boys.
Making: The Arlo by Michelle Wang for Brooklyn Tweed for my eldest’s best friend, at the beach!
Cooking (aka dyeing): Easter eggs in true German tradition. What are your Easter traditions?
Drinking: Rooibos tea again….after a fairly long time…and it’s delicious!
Reading: Making Stories Magazine and I want to knit every single item.
Wanting: to have more time…to do what I love to do!
Playing: silly faces with my youngest in the morning.
Liking: culling things before our move into our own home!
Deciding: and trying to convince my other half what we need to buy after we move…new mattress, new TV, things for the garden…the list goes on.
Wishing: I had more time!
Enjoying: My eldest’s first and last camp as a Joey before he moves up to Cubs in Scouts.
Wondering: what will pop up next at work…it’s been pretty full on!
Loving: the bond these two are developing in the last month!
Pondering: what to knit for myself next!
Considering: whether to have another glass of wine.
Buying: yarn….so much yarn!!!
Watching: all the Marvel movies in the order they were released….it’s fascinating and my husband thinks I should move onto Star Wars next or Harry Potter… I have yet to be convinced!
Hoping: my eldest feels better in the morning!
Marvelling: at everything Tanis Fiber Arts comes out with.
Cringing: at the mess that inevitably goes with packing up a house.
Needing: new trousers…because Winter is coming!
Smelling: the most amazing flowers I received from my friend.
Wearing: nothing special.
Following: through on things I promised to do.
Knowing: that I will love tomorrow’s bush playgroup with the littlies.
Thinking: about my best friend in Scotland…missing her loads.
Admiring: the ‘shelter’ the kids built during the school holidays at the workshop put on by the Mount Annan Botanical Gardens.
Bookmarking: nothing in particular.
Coveting: yarn…always and forever more yarn!
Disliking: all the things I have to do before we move.
Opening: yarn from Wren & Ollie.
Feeling: tired…and I really should get to bed.
Snacking: earlier in the day on Strawberries.
Helping: others by giving away two guitars I was gifted.
Hearing: the diswasher downstairs.
Splicing: spit splicing….my new favourite way of joining yarn.
Celebrating: from afar my mum’s 70th birthday!
Forgetting: to bring back books to the library!
Winning: because he finally let the dentist check his teeth!
Sneaking: away with work to Manly Beach.
Embracing: family time on Easter Sunday at Kiama.
Taking inspiration from The Little Room of Rachell.
I know, it’s been a while… Life and knitting took over.
Some of you may remember I made my eldest a gorgeous little cotton cardigan, blogged here.
He wore it a lot and it’s a favourite of mine. How lucky was I to dress his little brother in it a few years later. Isn’t he just the cutest? Makes me all broody just looking at these these two boys of mine.

Luke: started school this week and he loves it!
In Germany, on their first day of school children receive a cardboard cone (Schultuete), prettily decorated and filled with toys, sweets, school supplies. It is given to children to make this anxiously awaited first day of school a little bit sweeter.

Max: always in motion. (Canon EOS 550D, f/3.5, 1/320 sec, ISO-1600).
I wanted to share this sweet picture of my two boys. Surprisingly Max is loving having time with Mama for most of the day and he has fallen into a rhythm with his nap again, giving me the chance to catch-up on blogging, emails, work, knitting, etc.
