Friday Finds

I love KnitPicks yarn, I used their gorgeous white and rainbow sockyarn to make my youngest a jumper last year. I also love that they have updated their learning center, go KnitPicks!

Oh hello bunnies! I know Easter is a little way away, but these are just too cute!

This will come in handy soon, I am sure. I feel like my eldest, who will be 10 in two weeks, already behaves like a teenager!

Number 18: Yarn for Commissions

Despite my yarn stash I knew I couldn’t completely stop buying yarn as I do often make things for other people as gifts and as orders. So when I started running out of grey shades from the many Koala amigurumi I have been crocheting and because I have a very specific baby blanket in mind for a friend, I knew I had to bite the bullet and order some yarn.

I needed very specific yarn for the baby blanket (in fact some of it is on backorder), but for the first time ever I went direct to Bendigo Woollen Mills. I am very impressed by their choice and service.

And can you see how I happy I am with some new yarn? 🙂

And yes…they are massive balls 😉

FO: Flowery Headband

I love making flowers, knitting them or crocheting them. A couple of years ago I thought I might make a business out of this love for the botanical… it hasn’t happened yet, but it could still happen! In the meantime I am content making flowers and flower headbands as gifts for others.

Like this one. A perfect headband for Spring with pink daisies…a quick and easy make, which I finished in a couple of days.

I absolutely adore making hair accessories, hair bands, little flower crowns, etc. Maybe because I have boys and this is my way of making pretty things? Who knows!

Here’s one happy little girl with her headband and another lot of hair accessories I made for her. Stay tuned for pictures another day!
