In May 2011 I knitted Luke a cotton cardigan in a 70s style.
It’s another DROPS Design pattern, which was a nice knit, that I used some DROPS Safran leftovers for.
The buttons were from my stash, if I remember right my mum gave them to me from a box that she found where she lived in what used to be East Germany. They look great, by they are very impractical.
The addition of the little collar is so sweet, it makes the cardigan really special I think.
At first I wasn’t sure about the colours, especially the brown, but I actually think it looks really good.
And the orange rib at the bottom and the sleeves gives it some added pope of colour. I don’t think I need to say anything else, so here’s Luke wearing his cardigan, in June 2011 when he was four months old.
And Max wore this cardigan too in May this year at 2 months.
