A good friend that attended the same Steiner parent and child group with her daughter recently had another baby girl. So I decided to knit up another bonnet and bootie combination.
I went for Saartjes Bootees that are available on Ravelry. I love these booties and can normally knit them up in a couple of hours. And it’s a great little project for using up leftover yarn.
I decided to go with a nice deep red and was lucky to find some red buttons in my stash, I think they were from TextileGarden.
And for the bonnet I decided to go with another favourite from DROPS.
I used DROPS Safran, which is a cotton yarn that was perfect for this hot Summer we’ve been having.
I love the wavy pattern of this bonnet. It’s just so sweet and girly.
They both turned out so nice and my friend really loved them.
Oh my gosh Anna, they are just gorgeous. I love the bootie pattern, they are so simple, yet so very cute … love the buttons. Nice bonnet. I am knitting a beret at the moment on a set of double ended needles. Never done this before and I’m finding it a bit different to knitting on 2 needles. Will see how I go … will be very happy if it works out. My next goal is to knit a pair of socks.
Beautiful! I love the little bootees and I agree, the hat pattern is very pretty! Ros
