FO: Purple, Flouncy Cardigan

Earlier this Summer a good friend asked me to knit a cardigan for her brother’s girlfriend. She decided on this pattern and a lovely purple colour.

MA 4Even though it was an adult cardigan, it actually knit up really, really quickly. This might be because it called for DROP Vienna and needles size 8mm, which make it quite a loose knit.

MA 5I actually really enjoyed knitting this, it was nice to be knitting something that was for an adult.

MA 6I really love the colour too, it’s just so chic.

MA 7My friend, who was meant to give it to her brother’s girlfriend, actually thought about keeping it for herself. Surely that’s a good sign :-).

FO: Girly Hat and Bootie Combo

A good friend that attended the same Steiner parent and child group with her daughter recently had another baby girl. So I decided to knit up another bonnet and bootie combination.

BC 8I went for Saartjes Bootees that are available on Ravelry. I love these booties and can normally knit them up in a couple of hours. And it’s a great little project for using up leftover yarn.

I decided to go with a nice deep red and was lucky to find some red buttons in my stash, I think they were from TextileGarden.

BC 1And for the bonnet I decided to go with another favourite from DROPS.

BC 4I used DROPS Safran, which is a cotton yarn that was perfect for this hot Summer we’ve been having.

BC 7I love the wavy pattern of this bonnet. It’s just so sweet and girly.

BC 6They both turned out so nice and my friend really loved them.
