The second cowl I made last December was for the assistant at Luke’s Kindergarten.
I originally wanted to use a DROPS pattern to make the cowl, but then decided to wing it and made the pattern up.
I should have written down some numbers, i.e. stitches and so forth, but of course I didn’t. So I wouldn’t be able to replicate this exact same cowl.
I used the same colour DROPS Merino Extra Fine that I used for Luke’s jumper. It’s such a lovely colour and works really well with this cowl.
I am overwhelmed by this blogosphere! This week we received another gorgeous handmade gift for Max and a little something for his big brother too.
Claire over at Knitting Sandwich made Max this adorable little soft toy… and the best thing about it, it’s got a bell inside so it makes noises too! Max is still a tad too young to actually hold it, but he was genuinely interested in it.
And Claire, who is awaiting the birth of her second child very soon, knows that big brothers are equally important, so she got Luke these amazing Steiner wax blocks for colouring. And Luke loves them and went straight to work.
Thank you so much Claire for the thoughtful gifts, we love them!
Firstly I’m happy to say that this is finally the post that brings me right up to date with Blogtoberfest, yippieh!
Secondly, as of Wednesday I will be leading a Steiner (Waldorf)-focused craft group. I was asked by Susannah, the lady that leads the group that I attend with Luke on a Thursday and I thought, why not.
So, I’ve had to come up with projects for the next few weeks. We’re going to be crafting the two following things, I’ve found tutorials on other people’s blog:
I think I’ve got enough projects until December, but if you have any that you can suggest, please do!
