I am overwhelmed by this blogosphere! This week we received another gorgeous handmade gift for Max and a little something for his big brother too.
Claire over at Knitting Sandwich made Max this adorable little soft toy… and the best thing about it, it’s got a bell inside so it makes noises too! Max is still a tad too young to actually hold it, but he was genuinely interested in it.
And Claire, who is awaiting the birth of her second child very soon, knows that big brothers are equally important, so she got Luke these amazing Steiner wax blocks for colouring. And Luke loves them and went straight to work.
Thank you so much Claire for the thoughtful gifts, we love them!
I am currently working on these socks for the daughter of one of Luke’s previous playgroup teachers.
I am using this amazing Japanese yarn, which is lovely to work with and my friend gave me two skeins. I am hoping it will be enough.
On a separate not, Luke and I got the most amazing parcel from Melissa over at Knitting Sandwich today.
Some scrumptious yarn for me and a very cool personalised slingshot with ‘pom poms’ as Luke put it.
Thanks so much Melissa!!!!
It’s my birthday today! We were meant to be in Germany with my twin brother and his family, but my niece Clara and my nephew Yoan unfortunately have whooping cough. So, we’ve postponed our trip until end of April. Which means that we’ll be there for Clara’s 3rd birthday and my mum will also be there with us for her birthday. So instead of celebrating mine and my brothers birthday and Luke’s birthday, we’ve got another two to celebrate. I’ve treated myself to some cake:
And some macaroons:
And look what arrived in the post today, my second issue of The Knitter (a Christmas present from my husband)…I’ll be delving into this tonight with a glass of something sparkly.
And a quick shout out to Melissa from Knitting Sandwich, I believe it’s her and her daughter Lily’s birthday today as well. Happy birthday x 2!
