Daisy Headband

I have been so busy knitting up stock behind the scenes and am in the process of sewing up loads of it, but I wanted to showcase one of the first finished products that I have available.

It is this sweet daisy headband, made entirely from DROPS Muskat, which is 100% mercerised cotton.

The plastic headband itself, which will fit a little girl to adult head, is covered with a light green knitted tube and the flower is sewn on tightly.

Perfect for any little girl, but I also love wearing it!

This will go up in the shop soon, in the meantime, if you are interested in one, please get in touch!

FO: Headband

Our cousin Shai has regularly hopped over from Australia to visit us and last time I offered to make him a replacement headband for his old tatty one. I made this earlier this year (I also made a couple of other things as he and his girlfriend were expecting a baby, who arrived last week), which I will show later on this blog.

There is really no way that a headband makes for good pictures, unless it’s being worn.

This was an incredibly easy DROPS Design pattern, I knit this up in an afternoon.

I am grateful to Shai for sending such awesome photos…doesn’t he look cool with his headband?

And here’s a last one with his gorgeous girlfriend!

FO: Ponytail Hat

In January this year a good friend asked me to make her a hat that she could get her ponytail through and could also pull down to her neck like a cowl. So I started thinking and came up with this design.

My friend picked the colour and she decided on cotton, as she finds wool too scratchy and too hot. I decided on using a cable pattern, which makes it especially pretty I think.

I knitted holes for the string at the top of the hat to thread through the cord, see the pictures  below.

My friend loved the hat/cowl and used it on a trip to Iceland a few weeks after I finished it for her.
