Following on from the booties I posted yesterday, here’s a little cable hat I made for the little fellow.
I used this DROPS pattern, which I’ve knitted a few times before and since. This time I used some leftover sock yarn from my stash.
As always, this was a very quick knit.
Pattern: Knitted cable hat by Garnstudio DROPS Design.
Yarn: Regia sock yarn.
Needle size: 2.5mm
Knitting time: 4th-5th February 2013.
I knitted a few things for a good friends little girl. She was born a little early in December and I was able to finish a cardigan, bonnet and a couple of booties.
It’s this fantastic DROPS cable coat that I’ve knitted a few times before.
I love this pattern, I love how easy it is to knit and that despite quite long (it’s basically a coat) it knits up really quickly. This might be due to the size of the DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn that it calls for.
My friend picked the colour and I absolutely love it for a girl, it’s so unusual it makes it extra special. Here are a couple of detailed shots for you to enjoy.
What do you think of my label? I had this printed in France from a lady on Etsy and I love them. I add them to all pieces now, on the back is my blog address and my Etsy store.
I also loved choosing the buttons for this cardigan and loved that I had these gorgeous leaves in my stash.
Finally, here’s a gorgeous shot of little Mary-Catherine in her cardigan (and the bonnet, about which I’ll be blogging later on) with her gorgeous sister Isla in another one of my creations.
