Blogtoberfest #9 TKASS 2012 Part One

As I mentioned the other day I had tickets to go to the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexander Palace today with my friend George and another mummy friend Alicia was also coming with her mother-in-law. So, this is the first part of my day today, I’ll be doing the talking with my  pictures.

The amazing windows at Ally Pally, don’t you just love them?

An entire knitted village before I got into the exhibition, some people actually spent time knitting these up. I really love the detail they’ve gone into.

I’m pleased by simple things, I loved how these are arranged like a rainbow…gorgeous!

The biggest crocheting and knitting needles I’ve ever seen. Not sure they would be very comfortable to knit or crochet with, I think it would make your wrists hurt.

I could have taken hundreds of these pictures…the colours are just amazing.

My guys from The Crochet Chain were there with a good selection of DROPS yarns, unfortunately not the ones I needed, so I just ordered them online from The Wool Shed.

An absolutely gorgeous quilt, I just can’t believe the time someone spent completing this.

Alicia with her granny trolley, ready to buy, buy, buy. She didn’t get that much in the end.

More to come tomorrow.

  1. I love the knitted village … aren’t people clever. Love all the vibrant colour of the wool. It looks so beautiful. That window is just so pretty. The quilt is to die for. I’m off the the Craft and Quilt show here in Adelaide, Australia in November and I’m looking forward to it, and seeing all the nice things in your post I can’t wait till it comes around. Nice post Anna and looking forward to seeing more.
