Another little bonnet I finished for a friend of mine in America. I used a Drops Design pattern from Garnstudio, but made a few changes to it. I think it has worked out quite well.
The yarn also came from Garnstudio, but I can’t remember exactly what it was called. I’ll make sure I’ll write it down next time.
I like how the entire bonnet seems to form a kind of star that top, I think it works well with the two different colours, the beige and the off white.
And the piece de resistance is my new label, which I ordered a little while ago. I think it finishes the bonnet off nicely.
Another three pairs of booties finished. I think I’m actually able to make them quicker now. It also helps that I’ve got pattern sussed, so that really helps!
The beige coloured ones are made from an Alpaca mix and are incredibly soft and will probably be nice and warm as well. I do like the mix of colours as well, plus it makes them unisex!
I’m still working on writing the pattern up as I think it’ll go down well on here and I’d like to share it with everyone else! What do you think?
Firstly, my niece arrived last Tuesday: Clara Mathilda. I can now start knitting and sewing little baby dresses, I’ve already ordered Burda sewing patterns and some wool to follow another Garn Studio pattern.
Secondly, I finished some socks a little while ago for a friend, as she always had cold feet.
I followed a really old pattern that my aunt taught me when I was about 12. It’s very easy to follow and also easy to change if that’s what is needed. I usually get my sock wool from Germany as there’s more choice with all kinds of different colours, and I’m slowly but surely running out of wool. So, I should get someone to get me some more!
